Zainab Alert gives the residents of Pakistan, an efficient and effective method to report a missing child. This app will make it easier to get pertinent information out to the public and law enforcement agencies. Speed is of the essence in cases of missing children, and this app will help us overcome traditional barriers such as loss of time and a long reporting process.

Invent Lab was founded in 2017 with a mission of addressing social problems of Pakistan through the use of technology. It is run by a group of few overseas Pakistani’s lead by Mr Aatif Rana, Mr Farooq & Mr Owais. Apart from them, there is a whole team of efficient professionals which work at the back-end.
Their aim is to come together with self-generated funds to use human, intellectual and digital resources to influence, address and solve several social issues of Pakistan. Invent Lab is a nonprofit, noncommercial imitative which is a way of these selfless group of people to re pay Pakistan in any way they possibly can.
In 2018, Invent Lab made a major breakthrough by coming up with the Zainab Alert App. This App was a joint venture of Invent Lab and Law Enforcement Agencies for reporting missing children and was formally inaugurated on 10th March 2020 at Central Police Office.
A lot of effort has been put to make the Zainab Alert App user friendly, free of any charge and at par with the similar alert systems being used by the first world nations.
Zainab Alert is the starting point of a series of apps that will be launched soon- under the banner of Invent Lab. The Apps include a system of vehicle checking and identification of criminals through facial recognition, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning features.
How Its Works
Zainab Alert can be used by individuals across the four provinces of Pakistan so that we can keep our children safer, together.
The app is easy to use and can be installed on any smartphone. It is completely secure, and any information you provide will remain confidential at all times. Your info is only shared with the relevant law enforcement authorities to ensure that your case gets the attention it deserves.
As you open the app, you will see a Sign In screen. Select the language you want to use; the app is only available is Sindhi, Urdu, and English for now. Below that, you will see sign-in info, please select your location, enter your name, city and phone number to proceed. Once we have this info, we’ll SMS you a four-digit OTP (One-Time Password) that helps further secure the app and confirms that the info you put in was correct.
Enter this password to proceed to the next screen. Now, here you’ll see some essential directives for using the app. Make sure you read through these carefully, then click Next to continue. On this screen, you can report the missing child along with the relevant information of the father/guardian.
It is imperative that you provide us with as much information regarding the missing child, as possible. The app will ask you for the child’s age, name, gender, B form number as well as ID for the child’s father/guardian.
Next, you’ll have to give the address and contact information.
And finally, an incident report will have to be filed. Please give us detailed information about the case. How and when did you find out the child was missing? What were the circumstances that led to the incident? When was the child seen for the last time? These and all other details could be extremely important for the case.
Once we have this information, the app will alert all authorities, and a nationwide search for the child will ensue. Resources will be put on the case to help recover the child as quickly as possible. We’ll get in touch with the child’s family to keep them updated about the progress.
